About

Networking 2.0, funded by the MICC through their Défi Montréal initiative, is a project created to help immigrants develop and extend their professional network through the use of social media and Web 2.0 technology. The goal is to train over 100 employment counsellors and 60 immigrants throughout the Montreal area on how to use social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, including specific tips on how to use them for professional purposes.

The project is coordinated through Tyndale St-Georges and the Little Burgundy Employment Centre, both of whom are already well-versed in employment and immigrant realities. The material available on this site has been designed specifically for this program and tested on our centre's participants.
